MCDC Seniors

The golden years is a great time of life to still learn, grow and experience new things.  That is what the Seniors Program at MCDC is all about.  Each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday a group of active seniors  gather at the Dream Center to share.  Seniors participate in a variety of activities that include:

• Health Information Sessions and Screenings
• Exercise at the A.C. Jackson Wellness Center through the Silver Sneakers Program
• Benefits Reviews Including Medicare Updates
• Arts, Crafts, Games
• Bible Study
• Technology Classes
• Early Voting
• Field Trips
• Visitations at Area Nursing Homes

Seniors also participate in a Food Exchange courtesy of the Dream Center Cafeteria and Harvest Hope Food Bank.  Transportation services are provided on a limited basis.  Persons 60 years and older are eligible.  For more information, please contact Karen Simmons at 803.647.9111.
