Darren Martin, Director

The Total Recovery Network provides support and encouragement to those who were formerly substance abuse dependent.

The Total Recovery Ministry has expanded to satellite locations statewide and has changed its name to the Total Recovery Network (TRN). This faith-based community
organization has experienced phenomenal success as it assists individuals, families and other community organizations in the battle over addictions. The program has been working with cooperation and support from the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS).

TRN has released its first issue of a new, quarterly magazine, Nexus. Nexus serves as a source of outreach and education. Its goal is to address information and issues relevant to individuals suffering from addictions and the organizations that work with them.

One of the primary goals of The Total Recovery Network is to support the concept of involving the entire family in recovery. Every year, a retreat is planned to serve as a time for members and their families to come together for renewal and personal time. The retreat is also a time for reviving the team that work in the Network. This year’s retreat was successfully held in Charleston, South Carolina. Previous retreat sites have included Disney World, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Myrtle Beach.

TRN PROVIDES HOPE

TRN has launched a new venture in the battle against addiction, called HOPE. HOPE is a program designed to address the needs and concerns of co-dependents. Co-dependents are the individuals living with a person suffering from an addiction. A co-dependent is not the addict. Co-dependents have a real need for support since they are generally the ones trying to hold the family together since the addict often becomes incapable of providing emotional, financial, or other support. Sessions are held on the 1st Wednesday each month at 7pm in the Outreach House.
