As an Achievement Specialist, I am charged with improving student achievement by focusing on building and implementing an on-going recursive system of supports to improve teacher and school leader quality and effectiveness; and to increase, reward and incentivize the number of certified/skilled educators in Calhoun and Orangeburg School Districts.

My educational journey includes earning both a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education and a Master’s of Education in Secondary Guidance from SC State University, as well as, certification in Elementary Education; certification in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University; and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University.

To that end, I have had an opportunity to meet with both district-level administrators (Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents for Curriculum and Instructional Services, Human Resource Directors and Assessment Directors), as well as, all of the school principals. The reception of all parties has been positive.

My wide array of work experiences includes the following: a high school guidance counselor; a Director of Curriculum and Instruction; an ADEPT Coordinator; a Federal Programs Coordinator; an ELL Coordinator; a Textbook Coordinator; an Accreditations Coordinator; a Federal Programs Coordinator; an Assessment Coordinator; a Gifted and Talented Coordinator; a Professional Development Coordinator; and a Coordinator of Field Experiences at a post-secondary institution.
